Learning Journey

Preparation For Life

Senior School is where your child takes the next steps to prepare for life. They learn to take on more responsibility for their learning journey, further cultivate a good character and develop their capacity to serve not only Christ but others.

Our Senior School currently spans year 9 and 10, however it is our intention to one day expand into years 11 and 12 to provide students with a comprehensive pathway to their final years of school and beyond.

Active Engagement

Students are actively engaged in the learning process and critical thinking as a skill for life. To assist students in their journey of preparing for life after graduation, we are able to assist students in the higher grades by seeking out work experience opportunities.

Widened Opportunity

Each child is unique and capable. They discover their own destiny in God. To help students prepare themselves for the future we introduce a range of additional learning opportunities including sporting events, camps, art competitions, community events, learning to lead and collaborative learning.

Serving Our Community

Learning to serve is a Christian value that is integral to Pacific Brook Christian School. Students have the benefit of personal development as they embrace serving. We encourage students to participate in helping at School events, community clean-ups, spending time with the elderly and taking leadership roles.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

- Matthew 5:16

LEARNING ONLINE

Engaging the Digital Age

From a small town to a wider world. A flexible learning environment is opened to our students through our partnership with Pacific Online Christian School (Pacific Coast Christian School distance education provider) enabling our students to be nurtured in our small community school whilst having access to all courses they desire to study.

PASTORAL EDUCATORS

Christian Framework

Our dedicated teachers are both professional educators and pastoral with our students. They inspire the capability of each student, encouraging them to discover their God-given gifts, to grow their personal strengths and make informed choices about their pathways to Year 12 and beyond.

We promote Positive Behaviour in Senior School via PeaceWise Youth which is a Christian-based program that helps young people to build positive and enriching relationships with their peers. It also teaches them how to resolve conflict in a healthy way. Understanding relationships in a Christian framework and being a peace maker is a valuable life skill.
